My name is Melanie Davie and I’m the proud owner and Managing Director of Charnwood Car Company, a family business my father Tony Scottorn founded in 1979. I started washing cars at 14 and have now spent over 44 years in the motor trade. From service reception to accounts and leadership, I became Managing Director in the 1990s and helped guide our transition to an independent service and repair centre in 2000. While we began with a focus on French cars, we now care for all makes and models. I’ve always believed in treating customers how I’d want to be treated, and with nearly 3,000 online reviews, people often mention how friendly and helpful we are.
